In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the side quest Ill Repute takes players into the world of medieval entrepreneurship. You need to help the owner of the bathhouse "At the Kingfisher" influence the decisions of the city council. In this guide, we will detail how to successfully complete the quest.

How to Start the Ill Repute Quest

To begin this quest, you need to complete the A Good Scrub quest. In the Kuttenberg region, in the town of Kutna Hora, head to the bathhouse "At the Kingfisher." Inquire with the owner, Beta, about the state of the bathhouse.

The woman will tell you that the city council constantly creates problems: endless inspections and new taxes are ruining her business. To fix the situation, the lady will ask for help in gathering votes in the city council to appoint the status of the city bathhouse. By agreeing to help, you will start the quest.

Bathhouse Owner Beta

Ask the Washers about Councilor Naz

Head to the bathhouse at the southwestern city gates.

Talk about the councilor with the washers: Kachka, Meaty Manka, and Little Lida.

Lida will agree to share information if you bring her a beautiful dress, such as a lady's cotardie. It can be purchased from the local tailor. You can negotiate with the other girls either by bribery or persuasion. As a result, you will learn that the councilor is afraid of fleas and cannot stand chamomile. And a rare foreign essential oil is added to his bath.

Pour Chamomile Decoction into the Councilor's Wine Barrel

Find the wine barrel on the penultimate floor of the bathhouse. Before the stairs leading to the attic, turn right and enter the room, closing the door behind you so no one sees you. In the left corner of the room, you will see a small barrel on legs. Pour the chamomile decoction into it. If noticed, an alarm will be raised.

Find Something with Fleas

Ask the beggars where to find lice. Not all paupers will answer your questions, and the one who agrees will ask for some money. The beggar will tell you that behind the market stalls at the town hall, you can find things with insects.

Move east from the town hall. The beggars' camp is located to the left of the paradise garden.

Behind one of the tents, find a standing sack with a flea-infested blanket inside.

Sneak Fleas into Naz's Linen Chest

Return to the bathhouse and go up to the second floor, where wealthy clients are serviced. In the left corner, behind the luxurious bath, find the chest. Make sure no one is watching you, and carefully pour the fleas into it. Act cautiously; no one should see this.

Sneak Fleas into the Clean Linen Basket

Just like with the chest, carefully pour the fleas into the basket located in the left corner. It's important that no one notices you doing this.

Steal the Scented Oil for the Councilor

Go up to the attic of the bathhouse. From the stairs, go straight into the bedroom of the bathhouse owner Adam, from whom you can steal the keys.

Bathhouse Owner Adam

Then enter the next room on the right, turn right, and find a dresser on legs against the wall.

Take the foreign aromatic oil from the drawer. Be careful: if noticed, the guards will be called.

Return to Beta

Return to Beta and report your success. After this, the lady will tell you that to complete the plan, you need to win over the councilor — Tuchmacher, who currently has problems with the nobility.

The owner will ask you to meet with the councilor and offer him help. She will add not to mention her name, as they parted on bad terms in the past.

Enlist the Support of Councilor Tuchmacher

You will find Master Tuchmacher near the grocers, as he is also the owner of a tailor shop.

Ask the craftsman about the problems, and he will tell you that he had a serious quarrel with a nobleman named Jan of Leshtina. The conflict arose because the master incorrectly tailored a caftan, and the aristocrat, wishing to punish the tailor, challenged him to a duel.

It's important to note that you will have to fight only with a cleaver or flail and without armor. The nobleman in the duel can use any weapon and equipment, so he will be in armor and armed with a sword. Agree to help Tuchmacher by fighting Jan instead of him, and stay in the shop overnight to go to the duel location together in the morning.

Win the Fight on Behalf of Tuchmacher

Before the duel, you can pass a difficult persuasion check to make the nobleman remove his armor. However, even in full armor, Jan is a weak opponent. A couple of precise hits to the head area will be enough to finish the duel in your favor.

After winning the battle, talk to Tuchmacher. The tailor will be impressed with your fencing skills and promise to cast his vote for Beta's bathhouse at the city council meeting.

Return to Beta

Find Beta in the bathhouse and share the good news with her. The maiden will be amazed by your heroism and thank you for your help. Now all that's left is to wait for the city council meeting, where the fate of the bathhouse will be decided.

Wait for the Council Meeting

Wait a few days, then return to the owner.

Return to Beta

Visit Beta and inquire about how the council voted. The owner will happily inform you that now, thanks to your efforts, the "At the Kingfisher" bathhouse has been granted city status. In addition to words of gratitude, you will receive another pleasant bonus — all services are now free.
