Valheim Will Soon Get a New Biome — First Look Teaser

Iron Gate Studios announced the next major update The Deep North for the Scandinavian survival game Valheim. The developers also showed a new biome in a short teaser and screenshots.

The update will send players to Deep North — a cold land located in the northern part of the Valheim world. Here, the Vikings will find completely new conditions, recipes, opponents, weapons, equipment, resources, and much more. One of the distinctive features of Deep North will be the polar lights — you can see them in the screenshots below:

By the way, Iron Gate has changed its approach to announcements. The development of The Deep North will be told through a series of videos from the perspective of the heroine Hervor Bloodtooth, who went to explore unfamiliar lands. At the time of writing, only the first part was released.

Recall that in October, Valheim received an update with new mechanics and items. In addition, in May, the game released its latest major update, Ashlands, with another biome.
