Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Speak of the Devil Walkthrough

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the quest "Speak of the Devil" is the second main quest that takes place in Kuttenberg. In this mission, you will need to find firearms and pass a skill check to ambush the guards escorting the Dry Devil. We have prepared a detailed walkthrough of the quest.

At the start of the quest, the main character and Zizka saddle their horses and head far north of Kuttenberg to a location called "Devil's Place." Once you exhaust all options in the dialogue, you will have the option to choose "Fast Travel." However, we recommend galloping to the destination. This way, you can unlock fast travel to some settlements and slightly clear the fog of war on the map (in the case of fast travel, the fog of war will not be cleared).

Upon reaching the required location, leave your horse and approach the tavern, where a cutscene will start. Immediately after, you need to defeat several vagabonds. In fact, you will only have to fight one opponent. Once he is defeated, the task will be automatically completed. Exhaust all dialogue options with Kubenka to receive a new assignment.

Saddle your horse and follow the road with your new friend. You can use the "Follow" function and just enjoy the dialogue. By the way, you can respond to Kubenka's taunts.

When you get close to the camp, your friend will leave the horse and head into the thicket on foot. You just need to follow him. In the camp itself, find a shovel — it is located next to one of the tents and will be useful for completing the task later.

Continue following Kubenka. The first location for the buried weapons search will be the stream. Digging the hole, you will only find a bottle of savior schnapps. A little later, the man will point you to a basket with drinks and ask you to get some for him. If you refuse, your reputation will not change, but you can keep the drinks for yourself.

At the second excavation site, you will find a corpse that you can loot: there are several valuable items for sale, groschen, an unlucky dice, and a silver protection badge.

Head to the third location and dig up the hole. In the chest, take everything you need, as well as the quest item "Carefully Wrapped Hand Cannons".

Tip: Before interacting with Jan Zizka, choose the appropriate outfit that will allow you to pass one of the skill checks. For example, we equipped heavy armor to pass the "Intimidation" skill check. You can read more about how additional skills work in the game here.

If you fail the check, you will have to fight the guards. Be aware that there will be a lot of enemies. After the cutscene, Indro will have a hand cannon in his hands — it's a formidable weapon, but the hero reloads it very slowly. We recommend choosing a crossbow or sword to deal with enemies faster.

In the first case, the heroes will automatically head to the tavern. If you fought the guards, approach Zizka and say that you can return. This will complete the main quest.
