Tears To Tiara 2 — the game draws heavily from Welsh, Celtic, Christian and Roman mythology, with characters named Arawn, Arthur, Epona, Llyr, Morgan, Pwyll, Rhiannon and Taliesin. The action takes place in a fantasy setting inspired by late antiquity. The story begins on the Isle of Erin (or Hibernia as shown on the in-game map) on the western border of the Holy Empire.
The prologue centers around the prescient Gael priestess, Rhiannon. She is kidnapped by a rogue priest of the Holy Druk Empire to be used as a sacrifice in a ritual designed to resurrect the Demon King Arawn and win Druk's favor. In response, the Gaels burn their village and vow to reclaim Rhiannon or take revenge on the Empire.
