Ground Control

Ground Control — The main goal of the game is to destroy enemy troops and buildings using the terrain features and the strengths of your own army. Combat units include various types of armored vehicles, aircraft and soldiers, delivered to the battlefield by orbital shuttles. After the start of the next mission, the player cannot call for reinforcements, which requires careful selection of units and their configuration before the battle. Each type of combat unit has its own weapon and its own characteristics. The two factions of the game have slightly different armies: the Craven Corporation has more traditional wheeled and tracked military vehicles with thick armor (terradynes). The Order of the New Dawn's combat vehicles ride on hoverdynes, giving them improved speed and maneuverability in exchange for thinner armor, and also use energy plasma weapons with greater lethality. For example, a Templar infantry squad is armed with portable anti-tank rocket launchers, which cannot attack infantry. Their counterpart to the Craven Corporation are the Jaegers — a squad of four snipers who can be effectively used as terrain scouts.
