Fortnite

Most of the planet was destroyed by a catastrophe, which caused strange creatures, similar to zombies, to appear. The survivors called them brain-eaters. The last remnants of humanity fight them off, hiding in peculiar shelters built from various materials. Meanwhile, they try to understand the reasons behind the strange purple storm that started everything.

The online shooter Fortnite was initially released as a cooperative game, where four players must destroy waves of enemies and complete missions on the map. Later, a free-to-play mode called "Battle Royale" was introduced, designed for 100 players, where the last survivor wins. Both game modes are popular because of their fast-paced gameplay, long story campaigns, or intense battles with other players, extensive upgrade options that make players want to return again and again.

1) Random generation of all content: level landscapes, buildings and roads, mission types and objectives, types of rewards and loot, weapon blueprints, gear, and more.

2) Gathering resources from three basic and ten additional materials for building walls and other barriers, various traps, weapons, ammunition, gear (requires blueprints), and other necessary items.

3) Building and destructible environment. Everything in the game can be broken down and repurposed, for example, to create a safe evacuation corridor or a fortress for self-defense. Enemies can also destroy structures, so beware!

A purple cosmic storm of unknown origin struck Earth. It instantly turned 97% of the planet's population into dozens of different brain-eaters, which somewhat resemble zombies. Different brain-eaters perform various functions during attacks and become more aggressive and stronger during the storm. Survivors have found a way to protect themselves by building energy shields that safeguard settlements. The player begins as the leader of one such settlement, responsible for providing for residents, finding other survivors, seeking allies to expand the anti-storm shield, and figuring out how to return Earth to its normal state.

The main menu of Fortnite serves as the player's base, where there is a map of the game world with missions, character selection menu, upgrade menu, etc. At first, everything will be surrounded by a purple fog, but as the story progresses, it will move further away from the base. The main goal is to permanently destroy the storm and restore the planet to its normal course, but the process is planned to take 500 hours or more. In Fortnite, side missions are closely linked to the storyline, and you can only discover its shocking details by completing 3-5 side missions.

Four hero classes (soldier, builder, ninja, and collector, whose meaning is clear from the name), are divided into five types: common, rare, epic, legendary, and mythic. The last type of character has more levels for upgrading, maximum abilities, and skills that can be unlocked than the first. During a mission, the Fortnite player is temporarily transformed into a special operative character, meaning you can try out all their types and classes. To upgrade characters, you need to gain experience earned during missions and development points, which are activated with special items and after unlocking skills.

This is the main game mode, which can be played with friends or alone with bots. Gather resources, complete missions, build structures, set traps, and shoot enemies. If you complete all quests exactly as the game requires, you will receive extra bonuses — money, experience, development points, blueprints, etc. The farther you are from your base, the harder it will be to play. You need to unlock the entire game zone.

Fortnite's Battle Royale takes place on a huge map, and no gameplay feature, including building and crafting, has been removed. But you can also just focus on searching for weapons, ammo, traps, and other items, which are randomly distributed in houses, trees, cars, and similar places. Over time, a purple storm surrounds the island, so you can't stay in one place for long — you'll need to move toward the center of the map, where it gets much more dangerous.

There are 100 players participating at once, but only one will be the winner. Cooperative mechanics are available, allowing you to compete against opponents in squads or duos, and revive fallen teammates. Shooting must be careful, as friendly fire also causes damage. Soon, various vehicles will appear, as well as several battle maps instead of just one.
