Prominent movie insider Daniel Richtman shared a new rumor regarding the Harry Potter series. According to him, Warner Bros. is indeed considering Cillian Murphy for a role, but it's not Voldemort.
According to Richtman's latest post, the actor might portray Professor Quirrell. In the films, the timid wizard was played by Ian Hart, also known for his role as Dr. Watson in British TV movies about Sherlock Holmes.
To remind you, there are still no official details about the casting. Previously, Variety and Deadline reported that Mark Rylance could take on the role of Albus Dumbledore, while three actresses are reportedly in contention for the role of Professor McGonagall.
The premiere of the first season is expected in 2026.
