A YouTuber using Sora AI has showcased what a movie adaptation of Resident Evil 5 might have looked like if it were released in the 1980s. The enthusiast generated a trailer for the hypothetical film using the AI.
The unofficial trailer features hordes of zombies and various characters from the game, including Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Sheva Alomar, Excella Gionne, and Josh Stone.
Regarding the Resident Evil film series, the latest entry, which was a reboot, arrived in 2021. The film received poor reviews from critics and performed weakly at the global box office, grossing only $42 million. According to rumors, filming for a new movie based on Resident Evil Zero is set to begin in 2025, with Zach Cregger potentially directing.
